What should I do with this hole?

I had a hole appear next to the gas cap when I was buffing my ski. What’s a good way to go about fixing it? This hull is beat up pretty good and not worth fixing properly. I was thinking of using a clear epoxy just to keep water out but figured someone here has a better idea.

If your eventually going to be looking for a different hull I wouldn’t even worry about that, the amount of water that hits that area would be very minimal but yes you could use epoxy or some gel coat and sand for a more permanent factory looking finish.

I'm hoping to be able to find one that's non running with a nice hull that I can get looking and running nice than use this one as a beater for friends and family lol. But sense water getting into shouldn't be a huge concern I'll just order a gel coat repair kit.
Thank you

If it was mine I would just add a little cheap fiberglass repair to the backside to stop it falling into the hull. Even some JB Weld Steel Stick Putty would work
