Either your battery is dying, or there's liquid in the engine.


SO... pull the spark plugs, put a towel over the holes... and give it a crank.


If it seems dry... then put the plugs back in, and put a meter on the battery. If it doesn't stay above 11v while trying to crank... time for a new (good) battery.

FYI... a weak battery will destroy a starter. Basically, as it's stalled... it's getting hot, and roasting everything.
 
Ok it's a brand new battery. So maybe I can rule that out. Just took it out from winterized. So should there still be liquid in it?

Side note that battery was changed last year because it was cutting out. After change the battery we defiantly notice a difference.

New means nothing. Over the years... I've seen literally hundreds of bad-new batteries. Especially from Walmart, Chief Auto parts, and Interstate.

AND... if the battery was put in last season... that's not "New". So... my statements still stands. Put a meter on it, and see if the voltage sags.

Oh... and the comment of "it was charged last year" is just silly. (sorry) A GOOD led/acid battery can loose enough power, to keep from starting the engine, just after a few months. They aren't very stable as far as holding a storage charge.
Oh. Because this is a dual motor. The other motor starts no problem.

That does help knowing if the battery is ok... but that could also lead us to look for lose or corroded wires going to the starter on the stalling engine.


As far as your question about liquid.... I'm assuming it's not water, so the winterizing thing wasn't coming to mind. But it could be fuel or oil. It's common when the crank/RV is going bad. OR... if you have leaky carbs. The RV can leak oil in from the center gear case. If that's the issue... that's why we need the towel. It could be a gusher.

Hi, I thought I said changed and not charged. Just informing you so you have a better understanding what and why I have this battery. Also what we can eliminate as problems and what I can do to verify.

OK.

I know I can be a little harsh... but I like to get right to the point without sugar coating it.


But, pull the spark plugs, put a towel over it... and crank. (a good 7~10 seconds) If you get a few little splatters... that's ok. But, if you soak the towel... that's a real issue.

If you get splatters... I would start with taking off cable connections, cleaning them... and putting them back on. If that doesn't help... it's time to clean/rebuild the starter.

If you get oil/fuel out... then the crank is going bad, and that's a bigger issue.
