:confused:have a 95 speedster, what is the hose for that runs from the top of the exhaust to the muffler? On one engine that hose is full of oil, on the other engine there is no oil. Am I in trouble here?

Water regulator.......

That is a water line used to inject water into your resonator from the water inlet of the jet pump. Don't ask me how it got oil in it...........I can't answer that one............

I am so new to this boat that I really don't even know what thos parts are that you mentioned. They are 1/4" lines. sound about right? Just looked at my manual ( when all else fails read the directions right? ) and found that it is the water bleed line from the tuned pipe. Now why would one have oil in it? They are both hooked to the same places.

Are you sure its oil? or did it get clogged and turn black...

Oil.........

You shouldn't have any oil in it. There are two 1/4" lines. One at the very top of the loop of the tuned pipe that goes to the "tell-tale" connection, to let you know you have a positive water flow and the other, from a lower elbow connection on the tuned pipe, that goes back to the water resonator, which is a diaphragm looking valve with a red plastic cap on it. Look below that cap and you should see two nipples, for hooking up 1/4" lines to. The one to the tuned pipe hooks up to the top fitting, I believe.
