What is "normal" idle on C180 an/or 4-tec?

OK, had my firs test drive today and the boat ran great. New supercharger is in with a 4" K&N type intake with approx. only 16" of 4" intake pipe. I cannot for the life recall my max RPM but for some reason 7860 sticks in my head but I do recall it holding at 47-48MPH which seems par for everyones comments on the forums. . 6" chop on lake, 1 rider with 80% full tank. 85 hours on engine.

So my idle didn't drop as I expected after the engine warmed so idle for this boat is somewhere between 1760-1820RPM. Is this normal?

My brain thinks it anywhere acceptable to a little high for slow speed maneuvering around the dock. Can anyone confirm?

Also, I have little to compare it to but I got the Vector Steering fins on the drive and slow speed maneuvering was great. Even after shutting off the engine I could coast into the dock with control for a soft touch landing. Backing up...we'll lets just say I have some more work todo!

I have the 215s on my Speedster and I'm always right about 2K at idle. Just warmed it up getting it ready for the year.

Thanks...I was just about to post (was typing) when I saw the notification come through. Had time to do some general googl'in and found out that the 4-tec is supposed to idle at 1800RPM. Looks like all is well.
