Hi there, everyone. Ok. I was a mechanic for over 10 years and now tech shop at a high school. I realy want to know what the hipe is about mixing oils. I can understand not mixing mineral with synth, but what does it matter if you yous diffrent name brands of synth oil that meets OME. What is so special or diffrent then any other small engin. Chainswas, lawnmores, out boared motors, car engins truck ingines. I use nothing but synth oil but get what is on sale wether it be amsoil, etc. I realy like someone to explain to me why you say it is not good to mix OME synth oils, in jet boat engins when it is totaly fine with every other engin I have ever had, And i have had never blowen engins not once in my life and I am almost 40. Plus what is it about this not using oils with ash in them were does this come from. The oils avalable today are so much more supperior then the oils when my boat was made. They far exceed the OME requirements I had no idea what the last owner of my boat used for oil all he could remember is that he used a hight grade synth oil that met OME so I went with the best oil you can get amsoil full synth and meets and exceeds what sea doo list. Have driven lots with this and still have good compression, and unless I have a very full tank and 3 big adults in the seats, like me i am 350 my wife 150 and afriedns 200 plus my tank holds more then 70 liters. Any one like to shead some light on these tops and issues.

I use Amsoil Interceptor oil in my Seadoo 2000 GSX-RFI. I just switched my 91 Kawasaki TS-650 to the Amsoil and will keep an eye on it. It always used TCW3 Walmart oil. I agree with you on the oil issue but some models need the ash.
