What GPS is recommended?

I'm not sure where you want to mount it but for the price the Raymarine A65 is a bargain these days. They used to sell for $1,500+ just 6 months ago but they're being discontinued for the A70 and now you can buy the unit with the DSM sounder (sold seperately) for $650-$700 total. They're such a bargain now I'm tempted to buy another head unit just as a spare.
Now that is in my price range... I'll google it to see if it gives you nav charts with channel markers. Thanks bud!

I had it in my U205 and really liked it. It does provide basic navigational markers and enhanced coastal and lake maping but its not a full blown chart plotter that will display depth contours. Its also Black and white but it is packed with tons of great GPS map features and also serves as a depth finder/fishfinder. For $199 it cannot be beat.
