If you do a search I believe their are a few threads on this topic. I believe that they manual will call for 87 octane. I personally use 93 octane b/c that's just what I use and that's what the previous owner used

:agree: b15philly.....the search engine would turn up at least 20 hits. There is a thread right now, being discussed on the octane rating.

All skis have a minimum requirement of 87 octane, except the SC 4-TEC engine.

The octane rating is a "minimum" requirement. If you wanted to use 89 or 91, then it would probably not make a lot of difference in the newer skis, or one that has been using it for a long time. But, the older 687, 657, 717 engines would do better to run the lower grade octane.
