What engine is in my 1997 GTX

I know this is a stupid NOOB question and I will gladly endure all the flaming it generates if some one will just tell me what engine is in my 1997 GTX. It was given to me by a friend of a friend who let it sit for several years because it keeps blowing the 5amp fuse in the forward electrical box. I have done enough research to know that this is a typical mpem problem caused by jump starting. I just need to know what engine it has so I can purchase the correct mpem.

hey..welcome to the forum. You gots the 787 motor, also, if that 5amp fuse is pop'n, contact..allthingscustom..on this site, or thru ebay under, mpem repair...:cheers:

Where are all the fuse boxes on the 1997 GTX? I can't find any!! HELP

You should start a new thread if you need a question answered not related to the on going thread... Check in the front compartment and the rear by the engine.
