What do you make of this PTO?

Besides the teeth being worn, does it look kind of small?

Thats cool man, in comparison this PTO seems really smaller than others. Here is kind of a quick vid of how I got it off the ski.

The one in the parts manual does not look like that. Did you think the teeth look worn? The thing is the rubber bumper was not attached to the end of the shaft.
 
Is there a lot of play when the 2 are connected? If the mesh is loose it will need to be replaced.

There is the catch. When the rubber bumper is installed, there isnt too much play at all. When I bought the ski it wasnt installed so the shaft could slide forward and backwards. It slipped far enough forward to chew up some of the teeth. So Im debating to put it back together for the mean time. I ordered the new PTO but it will take 3 weeks to get here. If you know about someone selling one let me know.

The splines arent in great shape but there not in real bad shape either. I may put it back together just to get the steps down. I can change the PTO without removing the engine next time.
To get the harmonic balanced shaft out all you have to do is loosen the enigine and slide it forward.
