Hello everyone it has been awhile since I have post on here! Well I rebuilt my 657 cc(649.2 or something like that) this spring and is bored .50 over so it's a true 658 I believe. I rebuilt the carbs and she runs pretty good now, prob got a good 30hrs since rebuild. last year it would only go about 35mph this year it does 48-49mph gps. Is that good for this motor? personally I'm just wondering, it doesn't really matter to me lol  thanks

Nathan

48 on GPS, on the actual water, under your own power and not being towed by a fast boat.... ?

yes, that's very very very good.

yup lol under my own power. I tested 3 different times on glass. the most i got was 49 average was 47-48 ish and thats with not much gas and me being 150 lbs. I love this jet ski :) waxed the bottom too for more speed

HAHA!! I think mine was around 45 mph. Just for comparison my 96 SPX with a 717 will hit 49-50 so your doing pretty good. I liked my 93 XP also, but I sold it to get my 96 and boy what a difference. Once you get a hold of one of those you will never look back. I used to think my SPX was pretty quick, but now when I ride it I feel like i'm dragging a anchor.

lol I just checked the specs for a stock one and your number was dead on ...45mph top speed. It would be nice to sell this 93 and get a newer x4 hull but that's not in the budget rigth now lol!

Yeah being in Canada makes if kinda rough for that. You can find deals on them around here. Especially if your willing to fix them up. Theres a kid that I see on the lake some that just scored a near mint 96 XP for $1200 on CL. Thats a steal around here especially for this time of year. I actually sold my 93 for $450 more than I gave for my 96 lol. Of course my 96 needed some TLC cosmetic wise, but other than a wear ring, carb job, and a faulty water regulator its been solid.

yea the deals suck up here in canada! here in ontario my 93 would go for around 1500 -2000 with a trailer anyday. i paid 1300 on a trailer last year for it ....I wish it was 450! I hear of all these deals everyone on here gets and it's crazy lol but I guess here in canada we really pay for everything.
