I've got a 98' GTX Limited. It has the 947 motor. I need to know which carbs I have. I'm trying to get new ones and need to know if they are a dual set up or single. Is there a specific part number for them? Where can I get them?

seadoosource.com has specs, such as main/pilot jets, how many turns out for each screw, which n/s, and oem # of carb/s..

Rebuild them...when doing though, use the springs that are in the carbs, because, you'll get 3-4 of them with rebuild kit. Those springs change the popoff psi, dont wanna mess w/ that, unless the original springs are warpt.
Surf around the site, and you'll find good pics/instructions on rebuilds

Ok I'll try. Sure appreciate it. Is there somewhere that you would reccommend I purchase the rebuild kits from. Hopefully inexpensively.?

I just don't want to rebuild them and end up with the same problem. If I do buy the kits to rebuild them, do they come with everything that I need?

Carbs....

You have the BN-48I carbs. They are set up by the pto carb, part number 2750500332 and the mag carb, part number 270500331.

Like timmyboy said, use the springs in your carbs if at all possible.

Why do you think you need a rebuild. A lot of the time, you can remove them, clean the carbs filter. You have to remove the fuel pump cover and the body assembly to get to it. Be careful with the gaskets, you should be fine. Just clean what you have, run it. If it's no better, then buy the new kits.

Good job to timmyboy for his suggestions, I couldn't have said it better. Your quickly becoming a respected member of the forum in helping to trouble shoot. Thank you for your time.

Ok. The ones that owned it before had some issues with it. It has a complete top end rebuild. We've run the dog shat out of it 2 or 3 times a summer. Last summer, the fuel guage started beeping constantly. So this spring, they changed out the sender. It wouldn't idle real good. Had a hard time keeping it running. Poured some of that Gumout in it and let it run for 3 minutes. Now it idles. Oh they had to bypass the fuel tank selector switch too. Put it in the water. It idled down the canal to the bay. Got on the throttle and was about half way out when it just died. Managed to get it started and put back in. We checked all the fuel lines and they were correct as bypassed. Changed the plugs, checked the valves on top of the motor. Cleaned the fuel filter. Put it back into the water and it did the exact same thing. So we trailered it and I brought it home. Of course after they said I could have it. I just want it fixed.
