For those of you who post on this forum looking for advice, etc. It sure would go a long way with the people who are trying to answer your questions and, hopefully, solve your problems if you would use a little proper grammar and punctuation in the structure of your questions and replies. Just the basics will do. For example:
The first word in the beginning of a sentence should start with a capital letter.
A period (.) or question mark (?) etc. indicates the end of a sentence.

Asking for help by using a "texting" method of communication is not a good idea in this situation.

Thank You, DAWG :ack:

I think I have to agree and disagree with that one DAWG. I'll elaborate a bit. In college, I took several required English courses, then some that weren't required. I took typing back in high school but only because it was where you could find the girls. I ended up getting a baccalaureate for doing a full school years work in half a year, not to mention the girls I helped out, one of them I took to my Senior prom. I never imagined I'd ever use typing again. Then, here comes the computer age.

As many, including you, have read many of my posts, you'll see they are kinda like books. I type somewhere between 50-60 WPM (words per minute) so when I'm answering a post, what ever I'm thinking is being translated through my finger tips. Learning to type and using good grammer went hand in hand. Since there are certain spaces for using things like colons and semi-colons, along with other things like spaces between indents etc...

But, my point is, with the invention of computer also came the new invention of slang. Many people writing now use a lot of abbreviations and slang words. You know a lot of them, ROFL etc... With this type of language (mostly used in chat rooms like ICQ or Messenger) prevalent now all over the internet, I dont' think it's just slang. I think it's also because of the need to make a statement or ask a question, while being typing challenged.

For some people, what I just wrote may have taken an hour or so. I wrote this in a few minutes. I've seen all the examples your talking about. No capitalization, no punctuation and sentences that run together.

My solution? Either re-post that I don't understand or if I do understand, do what I can and move on. That's about all you can do. Anyway, I enjoy English and my form or writing style. I think it's universal that eveyone can read it. But, for all that might reply, the responses would be varied in the abilities of the one responding. I've also noticed that a lot of people who type, have a personality in their type written language that makes them unique. Like a fingerprint. There are some people in the forum, who have been here a while that I can just read their post and know who it is before looking at the name, from the way they structure their sentences.

But, it would be nice to see a period at the end of the sentence, so I don't run them into each other.
