New to me boat. Had it serviced and have a couple of issues which I posted in the 2 stroke seadoo section.

However I can across this and it appears to be a cooling water filter which I assume should be threaded in somewhere in the engine. However I can't find where it goes. The other end is connected to the lower portion of the engine just above the hall. I'm assuming water comes in that way and should be flushing through. If anybody can point to where they should go on the M2 jet drive optimax 250 it would be greatly appreciated.

It is the bilge siphon tube... with mesh strainer at the end. Put that end of the hose in the lowest, water-pooling spot and anytime the engine is running (jetpump is spinning) it will suck water if any. There is a 90 deg elbow in that hose... and in that elbow connector is a tiny hole. The hole prevents that hose from backflowing. Ensure that tiny hole is open.
