I am 22 years old, 14 credit hours. 24-32 hours a week at work (1 hour commute to work), and of course I cannot work 12 hour days and must work three to four 8 hour days.
I do not have deep pockets but my grandma and mother have both passed away earlier this year so I have a bit of cash if I need to tap in to it.
Even if I did know what I was doing with the boat....I don't have a whole lot of time / patience.
This guy I go to now is only charging me $50 an hour labor if that makes it any less painful.
I feel though this is a "good thing" in a bad way. Hows it good? Well I know the boat has had such and such done to it, and how many other things can possibly go wrong kind of situation. Once were done here the engine should be perfect...the jet pump should have zilch for cavitation.
I could have bought a $4500 96 Challenger and had it work good for well..the rest of this year, and than put another 12 hours on it next summer and have a whole slew of problems go wrong on it. Rather I have this $3000 Challenger that is now had $1000 in repairs, and we will see how much this costs. But I look at it like I could end up with a brand new engine possibly that would be running strong for hopefully years. Like I said...how many more problems can you possibly have on these boats?
