Ok So lets start off by saying till now I haven't really had a single real "problem" with my boat 97 challenger 1800

This year the ladder strap gets ripped off the front seat storage gets ripped off (no biggy) was towing a couple kids on a tube the other day when blahhhhhh no power grrrrrrrr ran fine all day long till then..So I've had this before gotta be the plugs I changed them this spring but thought we've been out quite a bit they gotta be done...

Today went got new plugs replaced them went to go for a drive swim & fish...Got to 3000 rpm then 3500 then nothing it'll rev up on both engines but that's it just rev & can smell unburnt fuel...:( They start up & idle just like new tho..

I'm a car guy not a boat guy I am mechanical somewhat (cant really fit in engine compartment..lol) on these little engines but don't even know where to start with something like this...

Anyone got any ideas..?

Peace

It sounds like cavitation but it's hard to imagine that both engines would be doing the same thing.

Ok so I started with the easiest thing first checked in the impeller one had a piece of wood wedged in it & the other a nice sized piece or rope...So yeah was just unwrapping and cutting & cursing and cutting timber...I just dropped the weed gates & wiggied my arm in there & started cutting...feeoof

Pretty sure this was it sheesh thought I had to do something hard..LOL
