The problems never end!!!!

Now, as I'm getting ready to seal up my jet pump I notice a small gap between the back of the wear ring and the impeller. I grab onto the wear ring and it spins right around!!!
I disassemble the pump, and the wear ring falls right out! I buy a new wear ring, and it too is VERY loose in the pump, as if my pump housing has expanded. Soooo, I'm now thinking a new pump housing???
$1000 in parts and counting, I'm sorry all you Sea Doo lovers, but I think it's time for a yamaha.

Mine had the gap when I put it in. I asked on here and they said it was OK.

I am pretty sure you don't want it to spin. Did you see any cracks in the housing when you inspected it?

I wonder if you can get away with gluing it in, or locktite.

It would be a major hassle to remove the next time...

I woud think that you could allways put some sealent on it before you install it. I allso believe that when you tighten up the 4 bolts on the pump to the shoe that will keep it tight in the pump housing and keep it from spinning. good luck Robin

I think it should be much tighter than that, check for wear or wrong size.
Was it tight in the first place when you first fitted it? Hope this helps!!

A workshop manual is invaluable in these cases!!
