Wear Ring and Impeller on 2003 Sportster 4 Tec

Hi All,

I have a wear ring that needs replacing and possibly the impeller, although I may be able to just file that. Does anyone have the same boat and maybe gone through this exercise of removing the pump, wear ring and impeller? I have checked Youtube and there is vague info, but not on this specific boat.\

Any guidance is appreciated.

All Jet Boats and PWC's seem to follow the same steps, yours may have other features but the jet pump is basically the same.

I would also add that you should download the shop manuals which can be had by clicking the 'manuals' at the top of this page. The are actually very informative and give step by step instructions on how to do most anything to your boat, they have lots of good pictures too which helps. So give it a good read and let us know if you have any other specific questions before you dive in.
