I can't get the sea doo to slow down enough at idle speed. I have turned down the idle screw until it almost won't idle and still the sea doo has so much power you can't hold it in place at a dock. Does it have a centrifugal clutch that may be stuck? I did not have this problem last season. Any advice? Thanks.

Make, Model, Year?.......

It'd be easier to help you out if we knew what your doo was.....From what your saying, I'll assume you don't have the reverse bucket.
No, there is no type clutch in the pump.
You say you've back off the idle speed screw? What are your rpm now that you've backed it down?

Welcome to the seadoo forum Ibagley. Typical the RPM's in the water should be about 1500 at idle, with little change from model to model. All seadoo's have a Direct drive jet pump. If the engine is running it is going forward. If you have the "Reverse Gate" or bucket as Skatman is referring to you have an option of having a reverse thrust to help in docking...Under no circumstances will the seadoo, any model just sit pretty at the dock and not move...unless is is against the current, or the engine is shut off.

I hope this helps.
