Winterizing 94 XP 657X.

Took waterbox out while winterizing ski and shaked it every which way possible. Small amount of water came out but there is still quite it bit in there that just doesn't seem to want to come out. What is the trick to getting all the water out? Alternatively the shop manual says to put antifreeze in the waterbox for winterizing, what it doesn't say is how much - so how much, 1 quart??

Thanks. Great site by the way, my first post.

I've got a speedster but the exhaust system is very similar. What I do is unhook the black rubber strap that secures the metal waterbox then loosen the clamp on the big hose and pull that hose off. Then just rotate the waterbox and dump the water in the hull and let it drain out drain plug. Then pour a little antifreeze in, I would think a quart would do.
