Hi everyone. Over the years of owning my Speedster 150, I've been fearful to have to boat broken far from a ramp, and while being towed, not knowing which hose to be clamped in order not to riun the engine. I've looked at numerous sources, and at best, I was able to find information/images of clamping the required hose, but not for my speedster 155, but rather a closest model, Speedster 255 Supercharged, which has a different engine compartment layout. Could someone share an image of a Speedster 155' hose location. Moreover, I've heard opinions on what hose to be clamped/pinched, while water towing; some think it should be exhaust manifold, while others insist that it should be water intake hose. I would greatly appreciate any help in making this long-time issue clear for me. Thanks in advance!

You will find a hose that comes up from the pump to the exhaust. Here are a couple of pics from the manual.

This what I did for my boat.

You can see the filter and the shut off valve. I took the high pressure take off from the pump and put a shut off there before the inter-cooler on my 215HP motor. That should prevent water from flowing into the exhaust header.

HI dolinsk71,
The only installation which works for you is the same as xintersecty did. You have clamp the bigger hose which comes from the impeller box and goes in front of the exhaust manifold. Since you have the 155 HP engine, both hoses (upper and lower) at the end of the exhaust manifold goes into the J-pipe. Just google for "BRP spare parts". There you get a page where you can look for your model and year. See the section cooling system and everything will be clear.

Oh, I just saw that there is an edition 1 and 2. For the edition 1 you have to clamp definitely the big hose from the impeller box. For the edition 2 you could also clamp the upper hose directly after it comes out of the exhaust manifold, but there I would recommend the bigger hose as well.
