Water stain removal?

Yesterday I put my boat in the water for about 3 hours to change the bunks and a few other parts on my trailer and when I took the boat out it had a yellowish-brown stain on the bottom. The place I launched the boat was basically a bayou with dark water so the stain is probably from tree and mud sediment in the water. Got the boat home and cleaned it with soap and water and tried some marine cleaner and nothing got the stain out. Does anyone know of a product that will "safely" remove this stain and not harm anything else such as the galvanized trailer. Seriously, I read some articles about products that will remove the stain but will eat away at your galvanized trailer. Thanks

When is the last time you put any wax on the surface? If it's been a while I suggest some Teflon wax. You can get some from west marine. It should remove the yellow stain and protect it from future stains.

I just bought the boat 2 months ago and had waxed all the upper parts but I don't remember how far down on the hull. I will definitely keep it waxed now to prevent this from happening again.

Where my lift is the water is braxash...salt water and freshwater from a local lake. It is nasty dirty sometimes, but with the teflon wax, it stays bright white.

Try this stuff. MariKate On and Off. Sounds funny, but it works amazing. They sell it at West Marine. Pick up a bottle, read the instructions on the back, and it will work miracles. Just make sure you have gloves on while you use it.
