Hi guys, I have a semi tech question concerning the water regulator valve on the muffler on my 97 gtx. I took it apart to clean out and noticed there was three stainless washers where the spring would seat on - then the cap cover. The parts book does not show any washers in the breakdown. This appears to have been put there to put more tension on the spring - like a little preload. How would more spring tension affect performance? Or, should I run without the washers?
