Water pump shaft seal issue

2004 4tec water pump shaft seal has blown for a 2nd time in less than 20 hrs. Any ideas on what might be causing the issue?

I can tell you that it is rare to happen once let alone twice. I'd be looking at something that affects it. Like the drive for example.
