Water in the ski locker

Hey Guys and Gals,

I have a 2008 Challenger 180 and the drain out of the ski locker does not seem to go anywhere. Water is not draining out of it at all. I attempted to push a plastic rod through it and found no obstruction. My next thought is to try to send a little compressed air through it but I wanted to check and see if anyone knows where that drain is supposed to go. I looked all through the engine compartment and did not see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Engine compartment?

It's suppose to drain back into your enigne compartment, where the bilge pump can remove it.

If your holding water in the ski locker, I would look in the engine compartment to see if you have any level in there, before looking for a way to blow air throw.

If the hull design over the years stayed basically the same, as far as the way these were set up, the hull locker is part of the bottom of the hull, unlike your passenger cockpit. The hull locker should have a seal to keep water from spashing over the hull, and entering the engine bay via that locker. That's why it was sealed.

So, check the level of the boat (is it front heavy) and the level of water in your engine compartment when you notice water in your ski locker......

That is where I am stumped...There is little to no water in the engine compartment and when I try to feed the 18 inch plastic rod through it does not come out any where visable. I was expecting to find jut a straight shot from the ski locker to the engine compartment but it looks like a no go.
