Water in the Deck Storage Compartment

Hi - I need advice. I purchased my first boat (2012 Sea Doo challenger 210) and have had it a week. There is always a small amount of water in the bottom of the deck storage compartment. If this is normal I am OK with it but even if I dry it out completely I can see a trickle of water re-entering the drainage hole on the vertical wall of the compartment near the stern end of the compartment. Will this trigger my automatic bilge pump and consequently drain my battery in time? And would it cause any problems to block the drainage hole if I removed it when it looked like rain? Help!!!

Thats pretty normal. Usually not enough water will build up to trigger the pump. If you leave it outside, leave the drain plug out and jack the front of the trailer up so the water runs out the back.

both of mine have had water in them every time. Just make sure you don't start seeing a lot of water. I had to take my 230 back twice for them to fix this issue.

Thanks a lot for replying. I really appreciate it. As I said I have owned a boat for a week so I needed this info!! Thanks again. Craig
