water in pipe

Wow. I really appreciate all the great advice i get on this forum, especially since I am a total new guy to PWC's. Just bought a 97 GTX, fired it up with the flush kit on and noticed water coming out of the exhaust flange ( gasket) at top of Pipe where it attaches to head pipe. So I took off the large flange clamp and 4 bolts to head pipe to get to gasket. My question is, the bulbous part of the pipe where the large clamp goes was full of water. Is there supposed to be water inside there? This would mean that water would be coming out of the exhaust at back of ski.

yeah, ur good, but replace rthat gasket.
