I found water in the jet pump of my 1999 gtx limited. Do I need to take off the pump and is it as simply as removing the four bolts?

Water in pump?.......

I think when you put the ski in the water, it's suppose to have water in it. That's what makes it go!.......J/K....

I think you must be saying you found water in your oil reservoir. If this is the case and your oil was a milky color, you'll need to replace the seals and do an air test to make sure your getting a good seal before putting it back together. Since you got to go that far, you might as well do a bearing job, which could also be the reason you have leaky seals. If the bearings are worn, the radial movement of the shaft will cause the seal to lose clearance and allow water into the pump housing.........

Yes the water was in the oil reservoir with only a few drops of oil in it. How do I get the pump off the boat? It looks like there are only the four bolts. Will there be any hidden surprises when I remove the bolts or the pump?

thanks kevin
