ill try to make this short, i took the boat out on the lake this weekend, the first ride i went alone and i had no problems getting the boat up to full speed, second ride on the boat i took a passenger with me and got it too full speed until i decided to turn around i slowed down to turn and when i went to go full throttle again i could not get passed half throttle, when i got back to the boat launch i looked at the engine bay and i noticed there was allot of water, i pumped it out then went alone for a quick ride and it went full throttle again, on my last ride i pumped out the water that was in the engine bay before leaving, went for about a half hour ride with my daughter around the lake and by the time i returned once again i had water in the engine bay, i'm not sure where to look for the water leak, i went for a ride with the engine compartment open so that i can look to see if there was a obvious spot but nothing came up,
if your wondering how much water gets into the engine bay, the only way for me to describe it is that it covers about 3/4 of the flywheel guard,
thanks

Most Seadoo's will take on some water. Sounds like yours is taking it on a bit faster. It could be coming in from around the driveshaft.

Or.... a common leak, is that the weld plugs on the tuned pipe, will rot out, and leak water.

Is your bilge pump not working?

I'm having a electrical issue with my bilge pump it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't . Working on that next. Thanks for the info I will look at the tuned pipe. Would it be something I can see easily if I have the boat running on the lake

The areas that the Doctor is referring to look like they could be freeze plugs. They are about the size of a quarter. I think there are 4 per pipe. At least 2 of them should be in plain view. While the boat is in the water, of you start it you will be able to see if that is the culprit. If so, you could get by with using some JB Weld for a few months, but in the long run it should be welded.

Sounds like a leak in the exhaust system to me. I'm having the same issue right now but the leak is coming from where the tuned pipe connects to the exhaust manifold. I suggest running at 3-4k rpm with your hood open and taking a look. With that much water you shouldn't have too much trouble spotting where it's coming from.

thanks for the information rgbradbury, as soon as i get back out to the lake where my boat is i will be looking for the leak but in the mean time i have ordered a few gasket kits, Nothing but issues since i got the boat however its a great learning experience, im planning on rebuilding as much as i can over the winter, thanks again
