Water in engine compartment

I have a 2006 Sportster. I have read the threads about water in the engine compartment. I have a similar problem but it doesn't occur all the time, when it does it seems to happen when the boat is under power load but before reaching planing and doesn't hapen when just idling along. The water pumped out is quite warm as if it has been through the cooling system. I have had others drive while I watched trying to recreate what happens and have not been able to see it occur. Also, it seems that the auto bilge switch doesn't work when the engine is running I must use the bilge switch is this normal? Any ideas as to cause and fix would be appreciated.

From BRPs parts it appears you have the Johnson bilge with Ultima Switch. There is a separate 3 amp fuse for the AUTO part. If the fuse is good, the it is the switch. Mine switch also quit and I picked a new switch on eBay for 30.00$.
