New to seadoo pwc. I have 2004 GTI LE. Bought several months ago, started ,sounded good. It sat through winter. Went outlast week and was going to start, found water in cylinders. Removed plugs, blew out water. Have not tried to start again, yet. Never had it in the water. What could have caused water to get in engine??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have since learned that it probably froze causing some damage. Not for sure. What should I look for?? HELP!!!!! Thanks

Start it if you can. That is the most important thing. Then I'd fog the heck out of it after you get it running. Put it on the water hose while running and determine if you have a leak and where. If that ski sat outside uncovered they can fill up with water.

What the ski really needs is to be checked, repaired if needed, and ridden ASAP. Water can get in without there being a problem with the ski. It's seaky. Key is... get it running. After you get it running it will show you any problems. Good Luck !!

Only way to get water in the cylinders is if you flood the ski, forget to remove the drain plugs when on the trailer or have the garden hose on with the engine off.

Thanks for info. I got the water out of cylinders. Hooked up water hose and let ski idle, a little rough at first. Then I noticed a rattling type sound coming from under the ski. It appears noise is coming from shaft. I’m guessing that’s the pump intake. Anyway, I guess I’m going to start taking it a part to find problem. Suggestions always welcome. Thanks.

The rattle in the pump/driveshaft is nothing to worry about. All seadoo's do it and it is just part of the way the pumps are designed.

Ride that thing on the water. If there is a problem you'll know. Don't take anything apart that isn't broken. Some of these skis make more noise than others. Just make sure everthing is tight (exhaust manifold, engine mount bolts, and such.) Good Luck !!

Thanks for the info. I’m going to get it on the lake this weekend. First time on the water with this one. I have only been on jet ski a few times. I guess we will see. I will post how it goes.

Bring a paddle. If you bring one you won't need it. Ride it with the seat off a bit and don't venture too far from the launch. Good Luck !!!!
