water in bilge

Hi, just a quick question, my boat is dry racked but there is always some water left in the engine compartment where the bilge pump is. The pump can't get rid of the last inch or so of water after the boat is washed down. Is there a problem with the water staying there? The boat is generally used at least fortnightly.

Since the boat is used once every 2 weeks or so and it's dry racked....could you tilt the racks back a bit to let more water drain?
If not I have a battery (2 D Cells) operated pump that I some times use to suck the last puddle of water out.

Try a shop vac if you have use of electricity near the boat. This works better than the small pump.
