So i took my xp out tonight after class for a little stress relief and it doesn't look like that worked out. after about half an hour i felt the ski starting to get a little sluggish and tippsy at low speeds. So i pulled the seat cover back and there was quite a bit of water inside. it was from the bottom of the ski all the way up to the middle of the vts box. so i went right in and pulled it out on the trailer and pulled the plug. it drained for about 5 mins. i plan on taking it out tomorrow without the seat cover to see if i can tell where all the water is coming from. if you guys could let me know some points to look for that would be great,

also, these don't have bilges right?
what would it take to put one in?

i have heard if you put it on the trailer, fill it with wate,r and then look to see were water comes out. If you are sucking water in from like a carbon ring or something then I am not sure how this method would work.

when you buy the builge pump get one that has a built in switch, then it will tell you what to do, drill 2 small holes for the mounting of the base basket, you are going to want to put the pump as far back as you can get it, after the pump is mounted you need to drill a hole through the fiberglass and install a thru-hull fitting and seal the fitting I recomened 5200 fast cure for a tight seal, then hook up your hose and wire up the pump and your good to go

Try these areas

check under the ride plate and the aera around the drive shaft you might have something going out also check your cooling lines for rubber rot or deteration. I had it around the ride plate aera and i took it off and siliconed it good and dry now!

thanks for the info, one last question, there are two small, i assume venturi type bilge things, could i just hook the pump that i buy up to one of these lines or do i need to drill a new hole in the figerglass?

no you cannot hook up to those tubes they are syphon tubes that the pump sucks the water out of the hull with, so leave them alone, you will need to drill a new hole.
