Water by the bilge area. Is that normal?

Hi all I am new to the boating scene and I noticed that there is about an inch of water in the bilge area. Also I noticed a wet area where the motor is mounted towards the back. You think the seal is going bad on the engine mount? I notice it also when I take the boat out of the water and unscrew the drain plugs about a cup of so water comes out.

most hold so much water before the bilge kicks in to pump out the water. If you have a hole in the hull the water would come in real fast

It really depends on where it is coming from..

If anyone is swimming for example, it is the water from them getting back in the boat.
The is a seal called CARBON SEAL, it is designed to leak. That said, it should leak by dripping, not a stream of water. Some leak so slow you won't even see it. That is how it cools itself.

You really need to determine where it is coming from and then we can go from there.

1 inch is not a big concern at this point...

There are gaskets on the bilge pump fitting, flush connector, exhaust outlets they could be a source of a leak along with the things mentioned above

After I run the boat I see the area where the water streams from since I see a stream of wet spot behind the engine mounts on the boat. Between the engine block and the mount. If you are facing the boat head on its the very rear of the mount.
