Was there ever a recall to replace plastic pump housings on the '03 GTX's?

I am very discouraged in finding out that the '03 GTX pump housing is basically a faulty design and having to pay or my 2nd housing which will be aluminum and costing me over $750.

Has Sea Doo ever publically addressed this design fault and do they offer any financial compensation to those that own one of the '03 GTX's?

I am doing the swap myself and the housing doesn't cost that much.

You are right the housing is around $300 but if you change out all the guts it can cost $750 without the prop.

Unfortunate for me I have a 155 and need to change out the guts to convert over to an aluminum housing which is made for a 185.

Hopefully I won't have anymore issues once I switch over as 2 cracked housings in 5 years is 2 too many.

I heard they were doing away with cast alloy pump housings.
The plasic ones do loose there vanes easier than cast alloy.
But I suppose plastic is the cheaper option for Seadoo and us.

I have seen them on the 03 units but they have switched to the alloy ones. Seems like there have been complains about the flexing of the pump housing in the plastics
