warning buzzer muted by switch - fuel level?

I took my 2000 Challenger 2000 with the 240 EFI out on the weekend, and I had the warning buzzer screaming at me. By pushing the orange switch (lower right of the 6 switches), it would mute the warning. 30 seconds later, the buzzer would scream at me again.

I did the oil conversion, and removed and dis-connected all of the associated parts. So I know oil isn't the problem.

I'm not sure if it is due to overheating (I don't believe you can mute this warning), or just low fuel level. My fuel gauge has not worked since I have owned the boat (on my list to repair or replace), but I know I wasn't running low on fuel. Maybe just the fuel sender?

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Rob

I am having a similar problem with my 2000 Challenger 1800. I seems to detect low fuel levels and sets off the buzzer that is mounted under the driver helm. The Orange switch however does not seem to shut-off the buzzer. Did you ever figure out what the problem was with your buzzer issue?

There's also a low battery voltage switch/warning. SO... to know for sure... look in your owners manual, and see what that switch was for. (If you don't have one, it's a free down load from seadoo)

And you are right. You can't silence the low oil, or temp alarms.
