my ware ring clearence is .035-.040. what is it suppose to be? my propellor looks ok the clearence edges look good. where do i get a new one and can i just replace the ware ring and not the two together, is .035 to much?

i cant seem to find the oem part number for my sea doo. it is a 99' gsx rfi with the 787 engine. i see wsm makes a "rubber" replacement but mine is hard plastic. is the rubber one ok. is the hard one better. does anyone know the wsm part number. the 003-500 is for up to 97' mines a 99.

Why not just click on parts on the top right hand corner of this page [PARTS] and order one from this site? they are about as cheap as any where else.

I was looking in a dennis kirk catalog the other day and noticed they make a stainless wear ring for yami's. is there a company that makes them for doo's? seems like stainless would be alot mor durable than the neoprene or white plastic ones that doo uses. pry be a biscuit to change tho. anyone else seen these?

wear ring clearance is .040. you are in spec with no gouges and smooth sides. send money to me instead and pretend you put a new one in. or just save the money. you don't need a wear ring. avoid stainless wear rings. they don't wear. they break other stuff instead. it is supposed to be the sacrificial part when little stuff goes thru the pump.

Derek is correct. Yamaha just started making replacement wear rings...The seadoo pump is about $250.00 and an impeller could cast as much as $250.00 so a wear ring for $40.00 isn't such a bad deal if you need one...your clearance is with in speck., you don't need one yet.

how do you check the clearence. we took a feeler gage and got .035 through it but the feeler gage is flat and i am tring to measure a curved surface. so i fugured i am around .040. there are some gouges and scratches but no chunks missing. i do have it apart should i change it or let it ride?

.040" is the service limit...if it is bigger change it...they cost around $45.00, so if you want you could save yourself some time later... and do it now.

if you look and see about 1mm of clearance you are good. 2mm's and you are still ok. i have big gouges in a couple of mine. they still run ok. stop worrying. spend the wear ring money on beer and gas.

PLEASE HELP/
