Hey Guys, just wondering how your 150's handle a wakeboarder behind it. I'm looking at a new one, and dont know how the 155hp or the 255hp boats go. I want the 255 but i have heard all the stories about the supercharger going and having to use premium will hurt too! so just wondering if the 155 is enough power to get average guys out of the water without struggling!! thanks!

How's it going.. I recently purchased the 2010 Speedster 150 and was also in the same boat you were in.. I really wanted the supercharged version but heard all the stories about superchargers going and extra maintenance and everything else.. being it was my first boat ever I decided on the 155hp.. i talked with alot of guys and they all told me there should be no problem getting a wakeboarder out of the water.. Only been out with it twice so we really didnt have a chance to hook anyone up to the back and try it out but like i said guys said they ahve done it before so i trust that.. i had the boat filled with 4 people and the weight was close the 715 limit the boat has and we were hitting 45 all day and that was only going up to 3/4 throttle at most.. and it didnt take long to get up there so the thing does move.. then again i never had a boat before so maybe thats just being a newbie...

the 155 boat should pull a wake boarder without any issues. BUT... it's not the best boat for wake boarding. First... it doesn't make much of a wake, and second... if your boarder cuts hard... they will pull the boat.

Just an fyi. I pull a wake boarder with my 85hp sposrtster all the time.

Last thing... yes... if you buy the supercharged boat, you must feed it premium fuel.

Speedster 150

I have a 2007 speedster 150 155 and pull a wake boarder behind it every time we go out. It has no problem pulling them up and no problem pulling them. I am 200+ lbs and it has no prob pulling me too. The only issue is the wake.... There is none lol it is a great boat for a beginner but if you are good or looking for wake dont recommend this boat. On another note has anyone had any problems with there seats coming up. They are held in with 3 plastic screw like plugs (like what holds on a door panel on a car) I have replaced them with no luck. Also my rear Latch pin broke Sunday has anyone had this issue either? It is a rubber latch pin that has a metal pin on it but the rubber split and all i see is the head of a bolt!

Yup, just had this issue this weekend past. I'm not for sure what is the best plan of action for this rear latch pin. To order a new one is $120. Pretty expensive for a poorly designed part, and for it not to happen again.
