Hey guys, I'm looking at buying a new 150 speedster, And just wondering about the power of the 155 hp motor. I would really like the 215 or 255 hp motors but i have been reading alot about the superchargers, and dont really want to get into rebuilding one every 100 hours:ack: So im wondering if the rebuilding thing is true or should i go with the 155 hp motor? Also how does that motor pull wakeboarders? thanks!!!!!

Apple, I'm back shopping for a boat after selling my U-205. While I would love a Challenger 180 I will not buy one of the supercharged boats. I've never been aboard a Speedter but I would think the 155hp would be good considering the size of that craft. Without supercharger maintenance and without the need for premium fuel, I'd go for thr 155hp boat if I was going for the Speedster 150.

That's what im thinking to, but would really like someone that has one to really know if it has the power to tow or not!!!! thanks!!

I just bought a 2007 Speedster 150 with a 155hp engine and wake tower. Although I haven't had a chance to try wake boarding on it yet, the previous owner went wake boarding often.

Also, years ago I owned a 1997 Challenger (single engine) which is very similar to the 150 Speedster. I used to wake board and go tubing with that boat all the time. At that time it was only my wife and I; adding more people to the boat would obviously make it harder to pull someone.

have any of you buys looked at rebuiling a SC??? its rather easy! and 100hrs is a looooong time! dont sell your self short! the challenger is an amazing boat! i decking mine out with the OceanLED's and it looks amazing! i have also pulled 2 wake boarders with ease! i got plane in a matter of seconds! its realllllly a good boat! dont let a little maintence turn you away! thanx!

A 100 hours would last me awhile but i have read that some go around 30-40 hours. It seems like they just go at random, and i really dont want to get stuck on the river here going to the lake!!!!! So just wondering if they are more reliable than i think! thanks
