Wake Tower Install Question???

I have a 2004 Utopia 205. I purchased a MT1 monster tower. Will I need to reinforce the hull at the attachment points near the front edge of windshield or near the side behind the driver's seat? Anyone done this before?

I believe you will need to add a piece of marine grade plywood on the inside of the hull where each leg of the tower attaches to keep the stress on the fiberglass to a minimum. You can get to the front easily by removing the seat backs in the bow section, but I'm not sure on the rear. Might be a good reason to add another set of speakers and use those to fill any access holes you need to make.

When you drill your holes for the bolts measure the thickness of the fiberglass. If its less than 3/8" you must reinforce. As for access holes. Cup holders are another idea. But I would try to keep the holes in hidden places to make it easy on yourself and ask someone that's skinny with long arms to lend a hand.

ive just instaled a tower on my sportster and the fiberglass was real thick
i had to cut a few holes but it went in fine .
i found that monster towers website gave instructions on customers photos just take a look for your boat there and they should have pic on there.
