Our 2007 Speedster 150 with the factory wake tower just had a weld break on the tower, which caused or 3-day boating trip to come to an abrupt stop today. We are thinking of heading over to the local marine shop and giving them the tower. Seeing that this was a $2k option when new how much boat value an I giving away? We don't wakeboard, but do tow tubes and skiers occasionally so it's been nice having the high rope mount. The tower has always been a PITA since we keep the boat in the garage and it takes an extra 5 minutes to raise and lower it reach time it comes and goes.

How is the low (regular spot on rear deck) rope spot for skiers and tubers?

Get it TIG welded and keep it. If anything, you will have use of a bimini top. After I got my 2008 Speedster 150 I found a 1.5 in gap in a tower weld joint. Rather than fixing it, Seadoo replaced ,under warranty the entire tower with a newer style tower. So I have a 2008 boat with a 2012 tower. There was a big batch of bad towers in that time period.
