I recently purchased a 97-98 sea doo xp. I am new to this so bear with me. I did the usual, plugs ect and it runs great! Now here's the problem, I found a blown fues in the black box under the seat. I changed said blown fues and the VTS black bow started smoking (almost to the point of actual fire!) I quickly undid all the VTS plugs (3 or 4) and no smoke. Now i'm assuming the VTS thing is junk, I've seen the on e-bay - but should I even mess with it or just run it the way it is?

The VTS (Variable Trim System)adjusts the trim on the seadoo. Remember buyer be ware on e-bay. If you need it, get it. The reason of the fuse is to not cause wires to burn. Is the fuse too big for the short...I believe the fuse is a 7.5 Amp fuse. Don't use a bigger fuse...it will burn the wires.
