Vts goes up but not down. I hear clicking in the back when depress the down button, so the button is sending power… what’s next? Fuse is good also.

9 out of 10 times unfortunately, its the module,,and not the motor,,,since it is working at all leads toward the module,,,water gets in there thru the rubber accordian boot,,and messes the circuit boards,,,easiest cheapest move,,is to just set the trim,,,and leave it,, there are kits out there,,,but their limitation is that there is no upper lower stop,,,

Ugh!!! Super frustrating!!! If I could only wife up a direct power switch for the down.. lol
The Motor works great with direct power!
thanks guys! Appreciate your help!

As we mention...there i a conversion kit out there,,,but from what i have read,,,the system does not limit the upper or lower limit nozzle travel.,,and consequently can place inadvertant stress on the motor.

POPPS:

understood… the only way to fix it is
a) leave it at half way and unplug and pull fuse. Ride it like that.
b) buy a new (used) VTS module (somewhere)
c) complete a conversion kit fix..

There is the "trim fix" (google it and it will pop up) or there is a 20 dollar relay off of Amazon(I can find the link in a bit). The nice thing about the trim fix is that it comes with a sensor for the gauge, however you can easily feel where the trim is at. Both options do not have any limits but I constantly hold the vts buttons up and down, no issues, I have a 25 amp inline fuse, the battery can't seem to put out enough to actually pop it.

Your module is rewired to apply power to the motor directly and it has no stops.
It overshoots and pulling mechanism falls out of the corkscrew.

I've written a detailed explanation on how to fix the module on another forum.
Here is a link.

VTS Trim actual fix

It took me about 2 hours to fix and cost about $20 in parts. Now my vts has full OEM functionality.
