Very minor metal flakes in oil filter

Purchased a used 06' GTX-SC with 64hrs on it in mint condition. Runs great but have a question for the forum. Did my first oil chance after purchasing about three weeks ago. Oil was dirty, not excessive but needing changing for sure. Filter was dirty of course but I also notice only a very few very minor shiny metal flakes in the outside of the paper filament of the oil filter. Is this normal or a sign of the apocalypses for my engine? Is it OK to run and just change the oil frequently and keep my eyes on it? What gives? Don't ruin my day and say my motor needs to be rebuilt. I am aware of the super charger issues and plan to have it rebuilt at the end of the summer, for now the ski does 60mph no issues.

Very normal. Everyone seems to forget that when the Bendix jams into the flywheel every time you start it that you can get anything from small dots of metal or even some pretty substantial slivers.

If that was me i would put 20 hours on it and check the filter . That filter looked a little to shinny. Make sure you put the right oil in it. You dont know what others put into it. Some people think they were saving money by putting auto oil in there sea doo

Actually there is very little metal flake. The shine you see in the picture is reflections from the oil & light. I only found very few metal flakes.....not metal dust at all. In any account, advise taken thank you! [emoji5]

There was a guy recently on this forum that had a small chunk chip off his impeller of his supercharger

No, it's never been rebuilt as it only has 64hrs on original motor. I plan to pull the supercharger at end of season & have rebuilt. I also should mention I have full power range so I believe the SC is prob ok.

I like seadoo oil I had bad luck with amsoil. I used interceptor it was too thick for oil pump on my 97 GTX .

Look on line sea-doo sells a maintanence kit it contains ; 1 gal oil, filter, gaskets and plugs. You can buy it for around 70-80 . I dont understand why anyone would use anything else
