Vent Hose

Hey guys I just joined this morning and was hoping I could get a little help. My Father passed down his 1997 GTS as it had a fuel leak and the hull was filled with fuel/oil. I have cleaned the hull out and tracked down the leak to the inline fuel filter. I have a new inline filter ordered and will get that swapped out once that arrives but there's also what appears to be a vent hose that goes to a plastic housing underneath the rear of the seat. The elbow was broken off and the rubber grommet was deteriorated pretty bad. I have replaced the grommet and also ordered a new elbow for the hose but it was also disconnected towards the front of the engine so I was hoping someone could send me a picture of where that hose is supposed to be connected to and if there's any one way filter or any other fittings that need to be attached so I can get this up and running again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is typically the battery vent for wet cell batteries.

That's what I was hoping it would be, just wanted to verify so I don't run into any issues. Thank you
