Hi, I'm new to the forum and boating,please be kind:)
There is some speedsters for sale locally,can someone offer some info on them please;
1997 twin 100 rotax 10K
1999 twin 110 rotax 12K
They both come w trailers and say low hrs.
Any issues with either yrs?
priced right?
Any great changes in engines in 08?
TIA, Lee

High.....

That sounds a bit high for a boat that's over 10 years old. Do you live close to the states that you can pop over and get a used one here?
Go to ebay and check out some of their prices for down here....
Oh, and your welcome.....(TIA)...

thanks for the reply skatman,just checked NADA and they say an average 99 model is $7500.I've been looking over the border all day,nothing yet:(
The one for12K is immaculate,all service done by seadoo,approx 170hrs on it. but then again 6K more for a new one w/warranty isn't much more

offer no more than $1000.00 over blue book if immaculate and test drive with more than two people on board very important!!! if he does not take it walk away. Just my opinion. Robin :cheers:

Check out this site for book prices just dd the brand and answer the questions on the options on the watercraft;

Great resource Karl.

IMO those sellers are very optimistic.
As in - that seems really high. I have gone from being chatty about the low price I paid for my Speedster to being deathly quiet...:rofl:

The O.P.'s comment that he is getting close to new boat price is pretty accurate. I have seen very recent ads for showroom stock '06's and 07's not far off. An '06 Challenger at Corona Motorsports was around 18K out the door when I looked last week.

Price

:agree: I picked mine up for $6500.00 close to a year ago, I also noticed one on ebay they have right now going for $8,000.00!!! People are still bidding. I would also have to say that they are very optimistic on that pricing, it must be in spectacular shape. My opinion, but I would check around, stick with seadoo though, they are great boats. Good luck!:cheers:

Thanks for the replies guys, Your prices south of the border are definately better! I'll keep looking

twin 110 s

great engines for this boat! i paid 8500 a year for a 1998 and love it, you can install new engines with warranty for around 2k. would pay top dollar for 1999 9500 all day long! will hold its value very well.

I own a 1997 challenger with a 787...110 hp. It is about the strongest engine around. To have 2 would be better ...so I bought a 08 200 speedster/ 310 hp.
