upholstery staple size!

Im reupholstering my 97 challenger seats. On the driver and passenger chair there are some thin uphokstered arm rest pieces. I have a 1/4" staple gun but the shortest stainless i could find is 3/8 and they are way to long. What are you guys using and where are you getting them?

Not sure on sizes, but Monel staples are a better choice for a marine environment
