UMI Racing Catalog 1999

Well I figured it's been a while since I posted a cool "vintage" performance catalog so I JUST removed this one from my IJSBA Jet Sports Magazine from April of 99. Hope you guys enjoy, I'll have to check the archives to see if I have any other cool things.

Everything else has held it's value as well. I guess quality never gets old. I have had or do have every Seadoo piece there except the first gen and GSX steering stems. Not every anodized color of coarse.

Woops not that grate either. I did score a set of those rear tie downs though.

Yeah, those tie downs are cool, where did you score a set of those? I still have my UMI metal foil sticker from when I bought my grate.

The word on the street is UMI steering are being retooled as we speak and should be available in 6mo. Im sure they will prob be at least $100 more but who knows. I heard the RXP/GSX is first, followed by HX, then the X-4.

And I was told hx was first then X4 and rxp/gsx last when I talked with hot products but the rumor is true the x2 system is already being sold

Hot Products has the GSX system listed in there catalog now. Don't know if it is actually available though.

what is with the seadoo decals on those superjets?...sinful. Although we have 3 J.S.'s, i would like to ride a superjet someday

Cool catalog, I think i have the violet bars and didnt know it. Here is a pic that skew posted on my 98 spx resto thread, someone came close to replicating that seadoo in the catalog

Unless that was a racing teams seadoo and they were just slightly modded for the rider.

Too expensive but how cool is that billet stuff for the dump jugs? I've only seen one UMI set come through the used market with that dampener on it. I have also seen GSX systems available lately.

My bro has one of those dampeners. I hated it...and if you tie up somewhere you have to worry about the nozzle getting hit. If it does its guaranteed a broken steering cable.

Funny you brought up the seadoo stickers on the yami...thats Rick Roy. He was out of Canada so Im sure they wanted to sponsor him even though they never made a real standup.
