UMI or R&D Steering - x4

I searched and searched but I cant find any threads discussing the differences between the r&d and umi steering setups. I know the umi has "2" different styles but haven't seen any comparison installation photo's of them. Does anyone know the differences between these two steering setups?

Height differences? Angle differences? Anything else?

I am looking to pull the trigger on one for my x4 build. This will be mostly lake driven/rec/wave jumper.

I've got one of each of the UMI styles if you need one. R&d are pretty rare.
