I figured I would break this into two questions.
I have been working on tracking down an intermittent start issue and think I have found it.
The boat has two MPEMs from older skis that run the motors (dont need a dess key, any work).
You have to start the right engine first, than you can start the left.
I found that if you hit the left button twice it will shut off the right engine.
It will not restart until you reset it (either hit the left engine button or pull the key and kit the button a couple of times)
So. How can I make it so the right engine button shuts both down instead.

I would like to offer some help. But unfortunately... since it's a bash of parts... who knows what's going on.

Haha. I guess its a kit from seadoo source, common replacement to the discontinued MPEM. Waiting on a reply there. Any idea what wire is for the shutdown from the button to the MPEM? I am looking for that so I can move it or remove it and just use the key to shut it down.

I think he sells them with the instructions telling you how to install to the factory harness. He uses univeral seadoo MPEMs so you can try to trace down the mess yourself. If you didn't install the kit maybe the person before you didn't do it right. From what I read on it each MPEM should be totally seperate and you should be able to start and stop each eninge in any order. You will have 2 seperate systems in the boat. I have seen a seadoo tech install dual DESS mpems on a persons boat. I think the post is on this site somewhere. The install looked very nice. What the guy did was installed 2 whole seadoo ski electical boxes and an aftermarket fuse panel. It looked real clean and neat almost like factory.

Dominich just got back to me with a few suggestions. Think I have it figured out, should just be a shut down starting procedure until I get into it.
