I have a 230 Challenger se with twin 215's. I took it to the dealer to get the carbon seal replaced on one engine and they discovered that both superchargers are out. I can reach in the air intake on the supercharger and it spins freely (on both motors). So now I must start the search for two new superchargers. Anyone know anywhere I can get them for a little cheaper than the dealer? And can i put the 255 superchargers on my 215 motors? thanks, joel

You don't need to replace the superchargers, just put new washers and beairings in them. The bad news is both the engines will have to be pulled and dissasembled to clean out the remains of the old ceramic washers.

If your dealer tells you otherwise you'll want to find somewhere else to take it to be serciced.

yup... what he said.

07...take to another dealership/shop, see what they say. Is it possible that the SC's are loose?

question ?

My buddy has an 07 RXP with 35 hrs on it (3rd owner) he bought it it had 17 hrs on it, at 35 hrs the supercharger bearings went ,took it to a dealer who replaced the bearings 700.oo, at 50 hrs the cam went. which caused a piston and valve assembly to get damaged,,,could this because have been caused by the fact that the engine was not removed and cleaned out ? Same dealer is rebuilding that engine now $2400.oo...
